SCH organizes the 2nd Workshop of a Program for training Doctors in Providing “BOHS”

In collaboration with WHO’s Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean, the Supreme Council of Health (SCH) organizes the 2nd workshop of the program for training doctors in providing basic occupational and environmental health and safety services in the period from 11-15 January 2015 at Crowne Plaza-Doha.

The workshop, in which a distinguished group of experts from SCH and WHO will lecture, aims to train doctors in providing occupational and environmental health and safety services.

The doctors training program, approved by WHO, will be carried on during the workshop as part of the attention SCH pays to caring for, safeguarding, and providing health care for workers and for promoting their health in the industrial, construction, economic, and services work settings. It also comes as part of the implementation of the Occupational Health Program 3.7, which is one of the projects of the National Health Strategy (NHS) 2011-2016.

It is to be mentioned that SCH organized the first workshop for training doctors in providing basic occupational and environmental health and safety services in collaboration with WHO’s Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean in the period from 23-27 March 2014.
